Sound Therapist Training

Do you want to learn how to use the restorative energy of sound to help yourself and others feel better? This immersive training is a practical beginning to learning the how's and why's of sound therapy, learning to play crystal bowls and gong, plus the foundations facilitating your own soundbaths . This beginner course will help you to develop your own style using this hands-on approach to sound therapy. 

No prior experience needed. This certificate course takes the beginner sound therapist from how sound works through to playing your first soundbath. The course focuses on the practical aspects of sound with plenty of hands-on practice.

We will cover: 

-the science of sound and frequencies

-creating a safe space for healing

-how to play crystal bowls

-how to play the gong

-how to put sounds together

-how to play a sound bath

-developing your opening and closing

-energetic hygiene

-how sound affects the nervous system

Meet your teacher:

Lisa Botts, author, and founder of The Live Easy Method and The Sukha Life Soundbath and Well-being Studio is a dedicated sound therapy teacher with six years of experience and thousands of sound baths performed. She trained intensively for 14 months with pioneering scientists, Grammy award-winning producers, and musical peace-makers in the field of sound as medicine. Always learning and bringing fresh ideas to her students, Lisa regularly shares her expertise with diverse communities, including seniors and individuals with Alzheimer’s. Her mission is to train future teachers and expand awareness of sound’s transformative power for well-being.

A MINIMUM OF 3 CRYSTAL BOWLS ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE THE COURSE. If you have bowls please bring them to the training. If you need help choosing instruments contact Lisa directly at hello@thesukhalife.com. If purchasing through Lisa your order must be placed a minimum of two weeks prior to class start.

This day focuses on the basic principles of sound.

Introduction to crystal bowls + practice

Saturday March 15th, 2025

10 am - 6 pm

This day focuses on the energetic principles of sound therapy.

Introduction to the gong + practice

Sunday March 16th, 2025

10 am - 7 pm

This day focuses on practical application of facilitating a soundbath.

The graduating class will facilitate a soundbath for friends and family.

Two weeks later a 2 hour follow up session is held to answer questions, and discuss discoveries you'd like answered. The date will be determined by the students during the 3 day class.
