Meet Dhyan Karam
At the beginning of 2015 at the tender, young age of 45 I experienced my first panic attack, and then another, and then another. Not knowing what they were I went to the emergency room with each one. In between panic attacks my days were filled with unexplainable heart palpitations and increasing anxiety. It was a heck of a year. A year that I vowed I would never visit the emergency room with a panic attack again.
Things in my life needed to change. It became clear to me that I needed to slow way down. I ditched the news and started journaling. Focusing on the people, things and moments that nourished me on a soul level. I began spending more time with how that felt. And it felt easy.
I committed to living a lifestyle of ease. Not knowing what that looked like in a society that places high value on the hustle and grind, hard work and being busy. In a culture where “the struggle is real” I observed how much of that is a belief system that many people are not slowing down long enough to realize.
Since 2015 I have been crafting a life of ease that includes kundalini yoga, helping others open to new ways of being through kundalini yoga, healing sound baths and drinking lots of herbal tea.
Sukha life was born in 2018 as a way for others to welcome an easier way of life (It’s okay, you’re amongst friends). We do not wear “busy” as a badge of honor. We take time. We listen. And when the going gets tough we do yoga.
